The Kunratický stream rises in the fields between Hrnčíře, Kunratice and Vestec, in the protected Hrnčířské louky natural monument. A significant part of the watercourse runs through natural countryside; the most heavily modified section is the one in the Prague–Kunratice city district. The open channel ends about 400 m
before the confluence with the Vltava — here it enters a closed profile and joins the Vltava in Braník, upstream of the Barrandov Bridge.
