The Dalejský stream rises in the southern part of the village of Chrášťany, that is, beyond the boundary of the City of Prague. It enters Prague below the Třebonice retention reservoir. From its source the stream flows eastwards through the Třebonice and Řeporyje city districts and then into the Prokop
Valley, where it runs through the Prokopské a Dalejské údolí nature park. Together with the adjoining catchment from Hlubočepy up to Řeporyje — a stretch of roughly 5.5 km — the Dalejský stream is a protected nature reserve (Prokop Valley), both for its natural and biological value and for its geology. The stream joins the Vltava in the Zlíchov area of Prague. The Dalejský stream catchment has 1 water-level gauging station: Praha – Hlubočepy.
