Malá Chuchle Zoo Corner

The forest zoo corner in Malá Chuchle is a freely accessible site by the gamekeeper’s lodge in the Chuchle grove, open all year round. It is part of the Prague Wildlife Rescue Centre and serves as a substitute home for animals with a permanent medical or other disability. Visitors can meet Czech wildlife at close quarters; more than 30 species can currently be seen here, among them fallow deer, wild boar, Eurasian lynx, red fox, red deer and the Eurasian eagle-owl.

Become an adoptive parent

The residents of the Chuchle zoo corner are part of our adoption scheme, which allows the rescue centre to raise funds for the care of these permanently disabled animals. If you would like to support the centre, you can become the adoptive parent of one of the animals here and help us cover part of the annual cost of their care.

What goes on in the zoo corner

We also use the zoo corner for environmental education, running programmes for schools focused on wild animals and their protection.

Besides programmes for school groups, we also organise weekend events for the public here.

There is a refreshment stand in the zoo corner, run by Mr Hanek (tel. +420 736 768 940).
