{"id":14965,"date":"2024-06-30T14:11:12","date_gmt":"2024-06-30T12:11:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lesypraha.cz\/topics\/water\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T19:28:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T17:28:21","slug":"water","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lesypraha.cz\/en\/topics\/water\/","title":{"rendered":"Water"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prague has <strong>more than 100 streams<\/strong> with a total length of <strong>almost<\/strong> <strong>364 km<\/strong> and over <strong>170 water structures<\/strong>&nbsp; (dams, ponds, retention reservoirs including dry polders, and stormwater settling tanks) <strong>owned by the City.<\/strong> Their management and maintenance is funded through the Environmental Protection Department of Prague City Hall, which works closely with the public service organisation Lesy hl. m. Prahy on the individual activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lesy hl. m. Prahy maintain and manage the streams and water bodies on the City\u2019s behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of its construction work it carries out the necessary repairs to water management equipment and to the water structures themselves, and takes part in complete restoration projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Across the city, Lesy hl. m.
