Lesy hl. m. Prahy is one of the largest public service organisations of the City of Prague. Our task is to take care of Prague’s nature. The organisation was founded in 1992. Internally, it is divided into 3 departments (Administration Department, Economic Department and Director’s Department) and 4 cooperating centres (Forests, Watercourses, Urban Greenery, Environmental Education). Unless otherwise stated, our activities are financed by the City of Prague.<\/p>\n\n

We manage more than 2,900 hectares of Prague forests and meadows. We take care of 5 important Prague parks: the Stromovka Park, the garden complex at Petrin Hill including the Kinsky Garden, the park at V\u00edtkov Hill, Letensk\u00e9 sady and the Hv\u011bzda field. In addition to these, we also take care of the U \u010ce\u0148ku Park and the western part of the Central Park Chodov. We take care of 201 monumental trees in the territory of the capital city. We manage 300 kilometres of small watercourses and 175 reservoirs. We operate the Rescue Station hl. m. Prague for wildlife and 4 forest zoos, which serve as its detached workplaces. We also operate the \u010e\u00e1blice Gardening and the Composting Plant hl. m. Prague – Slivenec. We manage 11 apiaries located in Prague forests and parks. Within the framework of environmental education, education and awareness, we cooperate with Prague schools and the public. This is what our eco-centre Prales is for.<\/p>\n\n

Until 1996 the organisation was located at Betl\u00e9msk\u00e1 9, Prague 1, then its headquarters moved to \u017di\u017ekov (Seifertova 36). From 2000 to the present day, the Forest of the Capital City of Prague has been the seat of the Forest of the Capital City of Prague. m. Prague at 1885 Pr\u00e1\u010dsk\u00e1 Street in Prague Z\u00e1b\u011bhlice<\/strong><\/a>, on the right bank of the Boti\u010d stream, on the site of a former brewery and mill, which in the past belonged to the small settlement of Pr\u00e1\u010d, which gradually merged with Z\u00e1b\u011bhlice during the 19th century. century.<\/p>\n\n
